Last Minute Detail

Okay...I know I haven't announced anything about the author of this blogsite getting married. It's not that I'm hiding it from the viewers but I want all things to be set up properly before I declare it to the public. Yes, you've heard it right. I, Rizza, will be blessed as Karl's wife in like two months after this post.

Well, it's a very long and I mean loooo00000nnng wedding prep. My future hubby proposed last 2007 on my birthday, that is, month of October in his simple yet romantic kind of way --- that sort of you can never say 'No'...We kept on changing scheds after that. First date was August 8, 2008 --- a very good number if we were to follow some old gen stuff. Then, we later changed it to November 27 of the same year. We were not stable at that time, financially and so we decided to make it on the following year and chose June, middle month of the year. So, we hired a wedding coordinator, to help us in the preparation since both of us don't have any idea about it. The needed preparation, the papers and stuff, seminars and all other things. We started on choosing a design for my dress. I had to search the World Wide Web just to have a simple flash in my head. I've signed up many sites that offers different dresses for entourage and bride. Went from pages to pages before I finally decided on my dress. It's a combination actually of two or three dresses in one. Would like to post it here but it's way too public to do so, maybe after the wedding? Hah! ^_^ Okay, I'll just give you a hint of what it looks like. I love SWAN, simple as that. The same thing goes with our wedding favors. There's this certain site called Simply Unique that provides personalized giveaways in a very affordable price. It's not on our place but then it's within the Philippines so I grabbed the chance. My nephew is working at the Capital Region of the Philippines so it's easier for him to have it hand-carried on one of his visits here. But before we finalized some arrangements with the firm, we first confirmed our chosen dates with the Hotel for our Reception and the Church. The most important thing that any couple must consider on their plan of marriage. When it's done then you can have all the other prep on the list --- registration, seminars, video/photographer, cakes, missallette, etc. You don't have any idea how many times we have to write and re-write the names of our guests....and with all the crisis life is throwing at us, we have to limit our number of guest down to 150 but failed. We can't just ignore and leave the others uninvited. So, in conclusion, we came up for 300 seats - well, just in case.

But then, as our wedding date is fast approaching, that is June 10. Last April, we received a sad news that changes all our plans. My fiance's dad died. And according to old man's belief, we have to cancel our chosen date for the wedding and not after six months or a year that we can have the rites. We cancelled all our reservations - hotel and church, we changed as well the date on our wedding favors and informed all our sponsors that we're moving the Wedding on the 28th of December. Maybe God has a reason for what had happened, maybe some of you have noticed what certain thing I didn't mention on the prep list...yes, the invitations. We were so focused on the other prep that we failed to include the invitations...See, what's my point here? Yes, maybe that's the reason why that our wedding was cancelled. For that we are thankful to the Lord.

And so, the clock's hand has been moving so fast that we are now two months away from the awaited moment. Two months to go and the rest of the chapters of our lives will be written as husband and wife, two being in one. In all things, God has his purpose. We shape our own destiny, God has given us the freewill to do so but still we have to choose it according to His will.
