To Nick Vujicic, you never fail making me feel how beautiful life is. You are indeed an inspiration to not only me but to all - You made me realized the true meaning of existence. We need not to have a perfect eyes, perfect face nor perfect body to be happy in life, we just need to appreciate what life's throwing upon us, to LOVE life in all circumstances. And above all, thank God for each day that we got the chance to enjoy life - to wake up another morning, to be able breathe, to communicate, to travel and be amazed with the wonders of creation, that that is quite enough to say 'I am blessed'.

An Email: MARRIAGE

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and

said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly.

Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know

what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly,

Why?

Footprints in the Sand

I just want to share this wonderful poem

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;

one belonged to him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest

and saddest time in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it.

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome

times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when I needed you most

you would leave me."

The LORD replied,

"My son, my precious child,

I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trials and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you."

Another year had passed since the last time I've shared my own personal "Lenten" reflection on this site. Too many events had happened in between --- death of my father-in-law, cancellation of wedding reservations, re-assessing and re-booking, job transfer of my husband, government issues, calamities and there also, our wedding but that was just the outer part of it,  mainly the preface if we are to compare it with a book.  In fact, 'tis just a tiny dot, visible only thru what scientist calls a microscope.What covers a vast or large area in one's life is the experience, how this certain event has molded us, has re-formed us. Did we ever stop and for a moment reflected upon these events? Or even ask ourselves as to why and what's the purpose of it?

A Perfect Valentine

 

St. Valentine:

   What is a perfect Valentine to you, m'lady?

Girl:

   (drew a long breath and replied)

   Hmmm, it is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers and choc'lates, sending greeting cards with heart-shaped outline and figure of Cupid.

Following the tradition, that...that would be perfect for me.

St. Valentine:

 (in a soft voice)

I see...a delicately wrought ebony screen.

Girl:

   (puzzled, she questioned)

   I'm sorry, Sire? Forgive me but

what do you mean?

St. Valentine:

 (smiling, gently he touched her eyes)

See with your heart.

Tell me, m'lady...tell me what's missing?

Girl:

   Quietly, she drew herself in deep thoughts,

seeing everything in her surroundings;

the expression on each of the faces of the people,

the establishments,

the difference in the status of living,

the culture,

the traditions,

the religions,

the characters....

in silence she whispered

with tears falling down her cheeks,

"L.O.V.E"

A Message...

On this day of your life, Rizza, we believe God wants you to know ... that difficult people are very important, - they teach you tolerance and acceptance.
	If all was going your way all the time, you would become a spoiled child, wouldn't everyone? Difficult people are just one of the ways God teaches us to expand beyond our egos and accept other perspectives on life.

It's not everyday that we got the chance to open our Bible 

and reflect on God's word.

Because of our busy scheds on our everyday life,

we sometimes fail to hear that small voice calling for our attention.

Sometimes we need to stumble upon this kind of apps

to be aware and be awakened. 

And this message holds truth.

It's like, our imperfections

is God's way of reminding us

that no one has the right to judge others worth.

You know what the problem is......

"I'm not happy anymore and so I ask for a divorce"

When marriage isn't working out the way you planned it to be, you call for a divorce. Forget 'bout the vows, the commitment and the covenant you've made to God in declaration of your UNCONDITIONAL love for your once upon a time partner.

In our present time, marriage is no longer, well for others, considered sacred as it was before. I've seen a lot of couples who are living happily together, some I could say that would last a lifetime but after a number of years, they fall apart unexpectedly. I am not of course, claiming that I have the perfect marriage ever written in the history of mankind since we just got married last month but I would like to stress out that even if other countries has legalized Divorce, we still have the choice of looking back on our vows and choose the course to make the marriage work.

Was browsing some of the news feed on facebook this morning

Was hesitant to really watch it at first seeing the label on it

She posted this link from youtube.com about an amazing story of a lion, a TRUE story. Sooooo, I checked and....I guess you probably knew what happened next - - - to ME - - -'cause am sure, 100% sure that it will have the same effect on you.

All the Reason to Continue Living...

Is life not fair? Most of us will answer this question "HECK YES!" Absolutely, no doubt about that. Average individuals would certainly complain a lot of things in life that doesn't go along with their way. We dream of having all riches in life, but none of it ever satisfy our cravings for wealth and power. When things go wrong, we jump into conclusion that God don't love us or isn't fair in giving His blessings. I must admit, I am one of those who complained about life. There are so many questions in my head as to why I don't get what I want or why I am not like the others who has brain and beauty in one. Throughout the years of my existence, I kept on believing that I am a worthless, abandoned daughter of God. I never welcomed Him in my thoughts thinking that He's only doing it to make me feel good. But God really works in mysterious ways. He touched my heart and made me see clearly His plans for me and to each and everyone of us. He inspired me to change my views in life just like how this video gave me all the reason to continue living and finishing strong.

She's the MOM! Ta-Da!!!

We had our Lenten Recollection last night and this video was presented for us to reflect - most especially dedicated to parents. While watching it, my mouth was wide open in shock and I kept on shaking my head. Why? I can't picture or rather chose not to picture myself being her daughter at all. She's tough and wow, am actually out of words to describe her, she's actually the kind of mom who will never listen to reasons other than hers. However, if you will try to look deeper, you would say that she's somehow right on how she discipline her children but then again, you would never wish your mom to be like her. Ah, not at all! I'll bet my house on it....lols...

(but I would still suggest that you use your heart in watching the video and you will see the message)
To all the moms, let your children feel pain and learn by themselves.

From the Start

A true story of transformation....

Hi, I'm Ms. Ashley, a young girl of Rizzy's age who grew up with simple yet complicated life. Both of my relatives on mother and father's side were expecting a lot of me, especially on my studies. It is a lot of expectation though but I managed to be always on the honor list. But none of it made me happy. Why? 'cause I'm only doin' it for my family. As I grew up, I had been exposed to different types of people, be in different places and culture. I tried living life as simple as possible but life isn't fair- not with me. I got friends, yes, but just plain friends of which made me often wonder what could possibly was wrong with me that I couldn't even keep just one. Am always in between of any fights in the group and got to be blamed for all of it. Have tried pleasing everyone but it isn't enough. They just come in and out of my life - no permanent at all.

Depression enveloped my being but I hide it to myself. Wearing happy and contented mask is the only weapon I got. People would actually describe me

Why Worry?

Worrier? Do you worry almost everything that's happening in your life? I do…

Worry is an emotion, a troubled state of mind, wherein a person is anxious about certain thing or event that might happen in the future. In reality, worry is a form of incessant FEAR, not caused by some physical outside influence but is embedded, real or imaginary, deep within the mind and never ceases, according to Lee E. Warren, D.D (© Power Latent in Man 1998).

Human as we are, worrying is inevitable. I do worry a lot also. I worry about my past and present life, my life in the future, my hopes and my dreams, my actions, my chosen path, everything. If I chose to stay in the shell today, what will be its effect tomorrow or in the future? But why do we worry? Why is it so hard to handle issues in life? The answer is easy, we just need to examine ourselves, look within our lives, feel that comforting words in our hearts saying, "Have Faith."

Finding the Balance

Is your life too busy? Does it seem you've got too much to do yet too little time to accomplish it? In your daily life, do you rely more on God's grace or on your own? If we are honest, we would probably agree that we tend to emphasize more on our own self than that of God's grace.

As individuals, we are loaded with so many things in mind: work, household chores, projects, sports, concerns and anxieties, etc. There's no room for rest nor space for family and personal time. We often put more trust in what we can do than in what God can do for us. In Christian life, we need to seek balance between God's work and our work. In our own limited resources, we cannot save ourselves. We need to rely our concerns to God, acknowledging the sufficiency of His grace. God longs for His people to seek His grace, not only when in crisis, but on a regular, daily basis. In doing so, we can avoid the tendency of regretting the choices we are making in our own efforts at the present.

Being Tested

For years, I kept on asking myself why my hopes and dreams are not being answered or should I say granted. I always wonder why my friends always get what they want in life. What's missing in me? Why can't I have the things I long to? Am I not praying that hard? Is my prayer too soft that He can't hear me? Where is then my focus in prayer?

A lot of you may have the same situation as I do. When things go wrong in our lives, we tend to lose our focus. When we don't get what we want, we start questioning God's existence. We easily lose our faith- in hoping that maybe it's not yet the right time for us to have such things we asked from Him. We often compare our lives to others and accuse God for being not fair. Really? Do we have to?

Let me share with you this simple message from, [listen to your heart]-- it may help you reflect a little bit.

If I answer your prayer at once,
It is because I am testing your FAITH...

If I do not answer your prayer at once,
It is because I am testing your PATIENCE...

If I do not answer your prayer
It is because I have a BETTER PLAN for you...

GOD

Well, my friend...HOLD ON TO THAT FAITH
You are just being tested by GOD...
